The Polk County Sheriff’s Department is stationed within the Judicial Complex in Benton, TN. The department consists of three criminal detectives, two drug detectives and 12 deputies under the direction of Sheriff Steve Ross.

Sheriff Ross is responsible for the crime prevention and safety directives throughout the county; he also is dedicated to implementing drug awareness and prevention programs in the community and directs the keeping and court appearances of the inmate population.

The Sheriff and his staff are proud to serve Polk County and are willing to provide assistance to anyone in need.
