A Hero Story

Rogersville is a small town filled with good people. Year after year their Police officers, and First Responders, come out to provide traffic services that permit the Trail of Tears riders to pass through Rogersville without delay. We are grateful to the city of Rogersville for their help. This story of heroism of Officer Dison risking his life to save a young boy is exemplary of the people in North Alabama. Simple, honest and good. We salute Officer Dison and laud the heroic American spirit.

Wheeler Lake Resort

About Rogersville

Rogersville is a quaint little town that is basically a community where many visitors enjoy the countryside, the lake and shopping at antique stores and local craft shops. Wheeler Lake in Joe Wheeler State Park, is the dominant resort area. Rogersville sits just north of the Tennessee River and just east of the city of Florence. This area is extremely beautiful and there's so much to see and do in the entire region with Florence and Muscle Shoals as neighbors. It's motto is 'A Fisherman's Paradise'!
