in 1994, starting at Ross's Landing in Chattanooga, Tennessee, eight riders started out on a journey destined for Waterloo, Alabama and now thirteen years later, this historic event has grown to incorporate more than one hundred and fifty thousand riders making it the largest organized motorcycle ride in the world, and Now Therefore, I, Ron Littlefield, Mayor of the City of Chattanooga, do hereby proclaim September 3, 2007 Trail of Tears Remembrance Day
