camping

There are numerous beautiful camp sites near cherokee. Just google it!

Camping near Bridgeport:
Goosepond Colony
Scottsboro, Alabama(256) 259-2884

Camping near waterloo:
There is free camping in Brush Creek Park campground operated by the state. Located on Waterloo Road, 5 miles east of Waterloo, with limited hookups.

Second Creek primitive camp area on County Rd 1 is also free and operated by TVA.

The areas in the Town limits around the lake are primitive with no hookups and campers will be asked to fill out permit paperwork. There's no charge for camping, but the permit is so the Town knows who is camping where for security purposes.

Waterloo has three campgrounds of its own that are free, but no hookups and must register when camping.
