giving thanks to law enforcement

at the time of the trail of tears march it was those enforcing the law that forced the cherokee peoples to leave their homelands and suffer this terrible journey. How ironic and good is it that now we have so many good officers of the law working with us to make sure our ride to commemorate the trail of tears is safe and a blessed event? we are grateful to them... they help us on our way.

On this page we want to pay tribute to the Law enforcement agencies and individuals that, year after year, contribute to making sure the ride is successful and safe. Since the entire ride, the official ride held on the 3rd saturday each september, is fully escorted from bridgeport to waterloo, these towns and cities on the route provide officers to manage traffic so that we pass through unhindered. To the chiefs of police, Sheriffs and their officers we give thanks.
